Manoeuvre takes the horizontal weight emphasis of traffic lettering, a distortion born of functional necessity to correct perspective at acute viewing angles, and translates it into a six-weight display family running from Thin to Heavy. The contrast between horizontals and verticals intensifies progressively across the range, culminating in a Heavy style where letterforms approach graphic abstraction. OpenType features include ball terminals, a seriffed I variant, slashed zero and arrow dashes, giving the family further expressive range beyond its structural conceit.
