Rui Abreu pushes the English round hand tradition toward a stylised, mechanical aesthetic by substituting fluid calligraphic transitions with straight lines, abrupt cuts and geometric loops. Canora Frente is the upright style, while Canora Verso tilts to the left at an unusual angle, testing how far the script model can absorb arbitrary design decisions before it ceases to read as calligraphy. Condensed lowercase letters contrast with more decorative, swash-laden capitals across a broad Latin Extended character set.
