Radim Pesko · Radim Pesko

A single-weight, uppercase-only grotesque reconstructed from memory after Adrian Frutiger's typeface for the Paris Métro signage system.
About
Designed by Radim Pesko as a mnemonic reconstruction rather than a forensic revival, it draws on Frutiger's lettering for the Paris Métro without attempting strict historical fidelity. Available in one weight with alternate characters, it is capitals only and best suited to headline and display settings. Its use on Le Monde headlines gives a sense of its register: clean, authoritative and rooted in European public-space typography.
Classification
A memory-reconstruction of Adrian Frutiger's Parisian Metro signage typeface, placing it squarely in the grotesque sans-serif tradition associated with mid-century European signage and wayfinding.
