Developed in 2006 for the visual identity of Secession in Vienna, Larish Alte takes its formal cues from the calligraphic lettering books of Rudolf von Larisch. The family offers a single Semibold weight with two stylistic sets centred on single and double-storey lowercase 'a' variants, paired with alternates for the lowercase 'y' and uppercase 'A', alongside lining and old-style figures, ligatures and an interfinity mark. Its use in headlines for Der Standard points to a typeface that holds up at large scale in editorial contexts.
