Merkury
Radim Pesko · Radim Peško · 2001

A rounded geometric sans by Radim Peško, first sketched in 2001 and refined over many years into four weights with italics and a monospaced variant.
About
Originally conceived for a 2001 exhibition of self-initiated graphic design projects, Merkury has been redrawn and customised across numerous commissions before settling into its current form. Four weights run from Light to Bold, each with a matching italic, and an additional Monospaced style is drawn from the Medium weight. The family covers both Latin and Cyrillic scripts, and its quietly rounded character gives it personality without veering into novelty.
Classification
Merkury's rounded character and clean construction place it firmly in the geometric sans tradition, with a distinctive softness that sets it apart from purely neutral grotesques.
