Designed by Radim Peško on commission from Dot Dot Dot magazine, the family expanded one member per issue across eleven instalments, with each new cut responding to the magazine's context, theme and production constraints. The brief cited Broadway display type and Wyndham Lewis's BLAST as references, asking for a semibold-weight text face suited to essays, captions and cover setting. Not available for licensing, Mitim remains a document of a typeface developed in public, shaped as much by editorial dialogue as by the designer's own decisions.
