A dual-personality Arabic sans-serif by Borna Izadpanah, splitting into Text and Display optical variants to serve both continuous reading and headline work across Arabic, Persian and Urdu.
About
Designed by typeface designer and University of Reading lecturer Borna Izadpanah, the family separates into two optical cuts: Text, with generous spacing, open counters and a straighter baseline suited to screen reading, and Display, with tighter spacing and more fluid round forms intended for headlines and posters. The full family of 17 styles plus a variable font spans Extralight to Black, with the Display cut adding a Thin weight at its lightest end. It forms part of Rosetta's Adapter World programme, which coordinates a single modernist design language across Arabic, Cyrillic, Georgian, Greek, Hebrew, Latin and Tamil.
Classification
A modernist sans-serif designed for both text and display use, drawing on neo-grotesque principles whilst being adapted for Arabic, Persian and Urdu scripts alongside the broader Adapter World Latin-based system.
