Moderne Olive Rounded specimen from Rosetta

A rounded, reverse-contrast sans by David Březina, grown from the Antique Olive tradition with soft squarish forms and high-tension pinched junctions.

About

Designed by David Březina and released in 2026, it refines and extends the core variant from Rosetta's experimental Softly Yours project. The reverse-contrast construction follows Excoffon's Antique Olive as a starting point, then diverges through late-modernist regularisation and pinched strokes that ease otherwise heavy junctions. Seven uprights span Light to Black with a matching variable font, and OpenType features include circled numerals, combinable multilingual pictograms, single-storey alternate 'a' and case-sensitive forms.

Classification

A reverse-contrast sans-serif in the tradition of Antique Olive by Roger Excoffon, with soft, squarish rounded forms and high-tension pinched stroke junctions that characterise the style.
