Nassim Arabic specimen from Rosetta

A contemporary Arabic text typeface by Titus Nemeth, designed for multilingual setting across editorial, news and scholarly publishing in five weights.

About

Designed by Titus Nemeth and released in 2011, Nassim Arabic pairs a lively Arabic with a well-balanced Latin companion across five weights from Regular to Extrabold. The family comes in two editions: Normal covers editorial fundamentals, while Pro adds extensive ligature sets, swash variants for Arabic-authentic justification, contextual alternates, tooth-height alternation and ranging numerals. Coverage extends to over 35 languages using the Arabic script, and the typeface has won awards from TDC, European Design and ATypI.

Classification

Nassim Arabic is classified as a contemporary text serif designed specifically for Arabic script with a matched Latin companion. Its angular, modern forms and structured rhythm place it firmly in the text serif tradition adapted for Arabic typographic conventions.
