Skolar Gujarati
Rosetta · David Březina · 2012

A text serif for the Gujarati script by David Březina, developed from historical and modern Gujarati letterform research for academic and professional publishing.
About
Designed by David Březina following investigation of historical and modern Gujarati printing, the family covers five weights from Light to Bold and supports Gujarati, Kachchi, Avestan and Sanskrit alongside a full Latin complement. An expansive glyph set includes conjuncts, half-forms, contextual matra variants and both Gujarati and Latin numerals, making it suitable for multilingual scholarly and editorial work. It is part of the broader Skolar type system alongside Skolar PE and Skolar Devanagari, collectively covering over four hundred languages.
Classification
A text serif designed for the Gujarati script with humanist modulation principles; companion to Skolar PE and rooted in traditional Gujarati letterform conventions while incorporating contemporary typographic refinement.
