Skolar Sans Hebrew specimen from Rosetta

A Hebrew extension of the Skolar Sans family, drawn by Eran Ben Barak to match the rhythm and density of its Latin counterpart across nine weights with italics.

About

Designed by Eran Ben Barak and released in 2024, the family achieves a consistent typographic colour across Hebrew and Latin through systematic grouping of letterforms that respects conventional Hebrew proportions. The low-contrast design is tuned for legibility across editorial texts and data-rich interfaces, with particular care given to nikud diacritical marks and Latin punctuation adapted for Hebrew contexts. Italic styles include an alternative flat-top mem for typographers who want a touch of distinction.

Classification

A low-contrast sans-serif with humanist proportions, designed to match the rhythm and density of the Latin Skolar Sans while respecting conventional Hebrew letterforms.
