Brezel Grotesk
Serpentype · Stefanie Preis

A grotesque sans by Stefanie Preis drawn from 19th-century models and shaped by the organic curves of a Bavarian pretzel.
About
Designed by Stefanie Preis, Brezel Grotesk takes the structural conventions of 19th-century grotesque sans-serifs and introduces terminal details derived from the looping form of a Bavarian pretzel. The family runs across four weights from Light to Bold, each with a matching oblique, and covers an extended Latin character set. It is pitched at text settings where calm rhythm and legibility at small sizes matter, whilst retaining enough character at display sizes to hold interest.
Classification
Explicitly inspired by 19th-century Grotesques, with organic terminal details drawn from the curves of a Bavarian pretzel. The design sits firmly in the grotesque sans tradition.
