Clip specimen from Setup Type

A single-stroke display serif by Ondrej Jób in which every glyph is drawn as one uninterrupted line, inspired by the form of a paperclip.

About

Designed by Ondrej Jób and released in 2011, Clip borrows its proportions, contrast and construction from traditional serif text typefaces while imposing a strict constraint: each glyph is formed from a single, continuous, unbroken stroke. Three weights run from Hair to Regular, all at natural width with a large x-height. The 749-glyph set covers over 100 languages across Basic and Extended Latin, with proportional oldstyle and lining figures, four stylistic sets, ligatures, swashes and ordinals for typographic flexibility.

Classification

Clip is classified as display due to its single-stroke construction and decorative nature; it draws on traditional serif proportions and contrast but is conceptually experimental, making it unsuitable for running text.
