Doko
Setup Type · Ondrej Jób · 2011

A humanist serif by Ondrej Jób with calligraphic roots in cartoons and lettering, designed to function across editorial text and display contexts in four styles.
About
Originating as a final project at the Type and Media masters programme at KABK The Hague, Doko balances expressive display qualities with the legibility demands of text setting. Its low contrast, natural width and medium x-height give it warmth without sacrificing functionality, while features including four figure sets, discretionary ligatures and three stylistic sets allow for detailed typographic control. Coverage extends to over 100 languages across Basic Latin and Extended Latin in 479 glyphs.
Classification
The foundry explicitly describes Doko as a humanist serif with low contrast and calligraphic influences drawn from cartoons, illustration and lettering, placing it firmly in the humanist serif subcategory.
