Manual Tatry
Setup Type · Ondrej Jób · 2018

A digitisation of the yellow hand-painted guideposts found in High Tatras National Park, Slovakia, rendered as a narrow geometric sans with soft terminals.
About
Ondrej Jób drew this single-weight geometric sans directly from the utilitarian hand-painted waymarkers of High Tatras National Park. Although the original signage was almost entirely uppercase, the digital version adds a full lowercase alongside special glyphs, symbols and 390 total glyphs covering over 100 languages. Stylistic set 1, discretionary ligatures and case-sensitive forms expand its usefulness for display and headline settings.
Classification
Described explicitly as a utilitarian geometric sans-serif with no contrast, narrow width, soft terminals and large x-height, digitised from hand-painted signage.
