Stoker
Signal · Seán Mongey, Max Phillips

A wide, high-contrast revival of Miller & Richard's Oldstyle Antique No. 6, expanded with a lowercase and figures by Seán Mongey and Max Phillips, with fang-like serifs that nod to 1970s Victorian revivals like ITC Benguiat.
About
Commissioned by Post Studio for boutique hotel Haddington House, the design began as a strict all-caps revival before growing into a full typeface with lowercase and figures. Wide proportions, exaggerated x-height and open counters give it presence at display sizes, while contrast remains controlled enough for short runs of text. The name Stoker was chosen in reference to the fang-like serifs and the stylised decadence of the Victorian era Bram Stoker inhabited.
Classification
Rooted in a revival of Miller & Richard's Oldstyle Antique No. 6, Stoker is a wide, high-contrast display serif with exaggerated x-height and pronounced fang-like serifs, placing it firmly in the Victorian-revival display tradition.
