Tenon specimen from Signal

A sans-serif derived by stripping the serifs from Signal's slab family Mortise, sitting between grotesque and geometric with nearly circular bowls and wide, open proportions.

About

Born from Mortise, Signal's slab serif, by removing the serifs to reveal a plain, efficient structure that occupies the territory between grotesque and geometric. Wide proportions, open counters and a generous x-height make it practical at small sizes on screen, while at larger settings the brisk, upright character suits editorial and signage work. Six weights from X-Light to X-Bold each carry matching italics, giving twelve styles in total.

Classification

Derived from the slab serif Mortise by removing the serifs, the result sits between a grotesque and a geometric sans with nearly circular bowls, placing it in a hybrid subcategory rather than squarely in either tradition.
