Captain Edward specimen from Simple Bits

An all-caps display serif with pirate-themed character, offering clean and distressed variants in two weights.

About

Named after the pirate Edward Teach, better known as Blackbeard, this all-caps display serif draws on Cooper Black's lighter-weight siblings and the rugged character of the New England coast. The family ships in four styles: Regular, Bold, and textured Rough variants of each, alongside a handful of swash alternates for K, L, Q, R, X and several punctuation marks. Coverage extends to Latin Extended for basic European language support.

Classification

An all-caps display serif with chunky, rounded letterforms drawing from Cooper Black's lighter-weight relatives, designed purely for headline and decorative use rather than text setting.
