Wilco Loft Sans
A custom all-caps display sans commissioned for Wilco, derived from a vintage blow-mould guitar shop sign rescued from a Chicago suburb and installed in the band's recording studio.

Designed for the band Wilco, this typeface traces its letterforms back to a handful of characters on an old 'GUITAR' sign hanging in The Loft, the band's Chicago recording studio. Simple Bits took those original glyphs and expanded them into a full alphabet across four weights, named Treble, Midrange, Low End and Bass. Each weight also contains custom icons representing each band member's favourite instrument, drawn in the style of the lefty acoustic on the original sign.

An all-caps, high contrast sans serif drawn from a specific vintage sign, with strong display character and no lowercase; classified as display due to its expressive contrast and single-case design.
