A wide geometric sans with a warm character, designed by William Stormdal and originally commissioned for a cookbook, with extensive OpenType alternates added in version 2.0.
About
Originally created for a cookbook and named after the author's dachshund, it carries a deliberately approachable width without tipping into full geometric rigidity. Version 2.0 expanded the family to 14 static styles plus a variable font, and added nine stylistic sets covering angled terminals, squared punctuation, alternate letterforms and circled or squared figure variants. The result is a family with a consistent friendly register that can be tuned toward something sharper or more technical through its feature set.
Classification
Wide, approachable construction with circular tendencies held in check by deliberate restraint, placing it in the geometric sans tradition while its warmth and stylistic flexibility keep it from being coldly mechanical.
