Designed by Arve Båtevik, Leif Mono inherits the expressive personality of Store Norske Leif, itself informed by three notable interpretations of Times by Francesco Simoncini, Aldo Novarese and Umberto Fenocchio. Where Times is typically read as cold and functional, Leif Mono brings a sense of warmth and character to the fixed-pitch format. It covers an extensive Latin character set with support for Nordic and Sami languages, and includes a range of OpenType features including oldstyle figures, fractions, stylistic alternates and localised forms.
