Store Norske Magi specimen from Store Norske Skriftkompani

A geometrically constructed sans from Norwegian designer Arve Båtevik, built for civic communication, branding and screen environments with narrow proportions and a monolinear rhythm.

About

Drawn in the Scandinavian modern tradition, Magi takes its cues from public information typography: orderly, measured and quietly assured. Its narrow proportions and even monolinear structure give it a compact rhythm suited to interfaces, signage and identity systems where legibility and tone need to stay aligned across contexts. A monospaced companion, Magi Mono, extends the family into typewriter-inspired territory, while broad language support covers Western and Northern European scripts including Nordic and Sami languages.

Classification

Explicitly described as geometrically constructed with a monolinear structure and narrow proportions, placing it firmly in the geometric sans tradition with a Scandinavian civic character.
