About
Drawn from the character maps and metal letter kits used by Neon Electric Limited AS, a leading mid-century Norwegian sign supplier whose work included the 1952 Winter Olympics and the Oslo Main Public Library. The typeface comes in four styles: a version with the characteristic tube-entry holes, a solid, an outline and an inline, the latter two designed to be combined so the sign body and the glowing neon tube read as distinct layers. Originally developed for the Skrift i Oslo exhibition, the digital form preserves the rhythmic geometric quality of the holes as a deliberate visual feature rather than a technical artefact.
