Nord Mono carries the northern, turn-of-the-century grotesque character of the Nord family into a fixed-width format, with matching italics across eight weights from Thin to Black. Trumpet-shaped stroke endings give it a quiet distinctiveness that sets it apart from more anonymous coding faces. The extensive Latin character set covers Nordic and Sami languages, and five stylistic sets offer alternates for characters including the lowercase 'a', zero and percent sign.
