Store Norske Stilig
Store Norske Skriftkompani · Arve Båtevik

A colour font designed by Arve Båtevik, inspired by Andy Song's 1972 phototype face Indigo, offered in a vibrant layered colour style and four distinct monochrome variants.
About
Based on Indigo, a photographic display face created by Andy Song for Studios Hollenstein Phototypo in Paris, Stilig brings that heritage into a contemporary colour font format with a layered, chromatic palette. The four monochrome styles — Dark, Light, Solid and Open — each present the letterforms differently, from bold filled forms with a white rainbow accent to bare outlines, giving designers flexible options for silk screen and riso printing. Character coverage is compact, spanning uppercase, lowercase, selected accented Latin characters and basic punctuation, suited to Western European and Nordic languages.
Classification
A display typeface with layered, chromatic construction inspired by phototype display lettering; classified as display due to its purely decorative, expressive character and lack of text weights.
