About
Designed by Arve Båtevik, Trafikk extends and refines the visual language of Karl Petter Sandbæk's 1965 Trafikkalfabetet, developed for the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. The family is currently available in Medium and Medium Italic, with broad Latin Extended coverage spanning Nordic, Baltic, Celtic, Central and South-Eastern European scripts, as well as Sami languages. Its constructed, rational letterforms are well suited to signage, wayfinding and institutional applications where clear legibility at distance is required.
