Vitruv Poster
Studio Rene Bieder · Rene Bieder

A high-contrast display serif from René Bieder's Vitruv family, optimised for poster-scale settings with classical Roman-themed style names.
About
Part of the broader Vitruv type system alongside Text and Headline subfamilies, the Poster cut is built for large sizes where contrast and presence matter most. Twelve styles span Thin to Black with matching italics, and the family carries a substantial OpenType feature set including small capitals, oldstyle figures, tabular figures, case-sensitive forms and several alternate glyphs. Style names drawn from Roman history and architecture — Germanicus, Romanum, Augustus, Alexandria — signal an antique classical reference that runs through the design.
Classification
A high-contrast serif designed explicitly for poster and display use, with classical Roman naming conventions suggesting an antique or neoclassical stylistic lineage suited to large-scale settings.
