Mixtape Condensed specimen from Superior Type

A condensed geometric sans with Bauhaus roots, offered in nine weights with matching italics and a variable axis across 18 styles.

About

Originally conceived in 2008 by Rostislav Vaněk, Mixtape Condensed draws on Bauhaus and avant-garde traditions while positioning itself as a practical text face rather than a Futura revival. The family spans nine weights from Thin to Black, each with a matching italic, and is also available as a variable font. With coverage of 302 languages across the Latin script and a suite of OpenType features including oldstyle figures, fractions and a slashed zero, it is built for sustained text use at condensed widths.

Classification

Rooted in Bauhaus and avant-garde principles with Futura as a historical reference point, Mixtape Condensed is a geometric sans-serif with a condensed cut across nine weights.
