Nika ExtraCondensed
Superior Type · Rostislav Vaněk

An extra-condensed sans with modulated stroke contrast that introduces depth and movement without ornament.
About
Designed by Rostislav Vaněk with collaboration from Matyáš Machat and Petr Kučera, this extra-condensed sans departs from strict geometric uniformity by introducing controlled stroke modulation and contrast. The result is a family of 16 styles spanning ExtraLight to Black with matching italics, all available as a variable font across 308 languages in Latin script. The tension between condensed rigidity and expressive shading makes it well suited to branding, editorial headlines and display applications.
Classification
A sans-serif with modulated stroke contrast and an extra-condensed width; the controlled shading departs from strict grotesque uniformity while remaining within the sans-serif tradition.
