About
Jürgen Huber took Karla, Jonathan Pinhorn's open-source humanist sans, and reworked a number of details, broadened its glyph coverage to 475 characters across 135 languages, and tightened its spacing and kerning. The family runs across five weights from Light to ExtraBold, each with a matching italic. Clara is available at no cost and is not sold commercially, serving primarily as the starting point that led Huber to develop the Clarinetta serif family.
Classification
Clara derives from Karla, a humanist sans-serif by Jonathan Pinhorn, and retains its humanist proportions and letterform character following Huber's refinements and character set expansion.
