Based on experimental handwriting with a visible left slant, Crickle uses roughened outlines and uninterrupted letterforms to maintain the energy of a writing tool. Glyph alternates emulate hasty scribbles, and a scribble-out OpenType feature lets users cover text as if crossing it out by hand. A companion font, Crickle SPINE, provides contour-only paths for use with brushstrokes and calligraphic lines in Illustrator, and is included free with any weight purchase.
