Designed by Jürgen Huber and released in 2015/16, Scarlet runs across 12 styles from Light to Extra Bold with matching italics throughout. Small caps and an extended glyph set of 623 characters cover Western, Central and Eastern European languages, with OpenType support for ligatures, old-style figures and alternate glyph sets. Its mid-century warmth suits editorial work, packaging and on-screen use where a period character is wanted without overt retro pastiche.

A warm sans-serif with playful 1960s character, drawing on mid-century graphic sensibility in the tradition of Aldo Novarese; the rounded, expressive detailing places it firmly in humanist sans territory rather than geometric or grotesque.
