Hell's Angles specimen from Taylor Penton

A single-weight display face built from collaborative conflict, with contextual lowercase alternates that push its deliberately unruly character further.

About

Co-designed by Taylor Penton and a collaborator identified as Joe, the face wears its miscalculation as a feature, not a flaw. Contextual alternates are baked into the lowercase, shifting the texture of a word as you type. Coverage extends to Western European Latin including Icelandic and Welsh across 165 glyphs.

Classification

Described by its creators as ugly, miscalculated and odd, with contextual alternates in the lowercase and an intentionally chaotic, unrestrained design vocabulary that places it firmly in novelty display territory.
