Noodle specimen from Taylor Penton

A pixel-inflected display face built on the DNA of Milkbar, trading the strict grid of 8-bit type for a looser, more organic rhythm.

About

Where most pixel-style faces are locked to a mechanical grid, Noodle relaxes the construction into something warmer and less precise, described by its maker as what 8-bit looks like when you've only heard rumours about it. It ships as a single Regular weight with 220 glyphs covering Western European languages including Icelandic and Welsh. Letters are drawn to sit snugly at default tracking but hold up equally well with wider spacing.

Classification

Described as 8-bit in character but deliberately avoiding a strict grid, Noodle sits in the display category as a pixel-inspired face with organic, hand-drawn looseness rather than mechanical rigidity.
