displaybiomechanical display serif
Drool specimen from The Designers Foundry

A biomechanical display serif inspired by H.R. Giger's Xenomorph design from Ridley Scott's 1979 film Alien, with curving terminals and connective-tissue-like strokes.

About

Two styles, Single and Double, share the same organic anatomy: terminals that curve as if grown, and a structural rhythm that reads as living tissue under tension. The letterforms suit large-scale applications where the uncanny quality reads clearly, particularly titles, posters and identity work with a dark or unsettling register. Discretionary ligatures and alternate characters for A, G, K, Q and R extend the expressive range.

Classification

Drool is a display serif with organic, sculptural forms inspired by H.R. Giger's biomechanical aesthetic, placing it firmly in the display category with a horror/dark arts subcategory.
