Dysto
The Designers Foundry · Joseph Dennis

A variable display sans with monospaced construction and reverse contrast, drawing on 1980s science fiction visual language across six widths and three weights.
About
Built on modular, directly proportionate forms, Dysto spans 36 static styles plus a variable font with weight, width and slant axes. Six stylistic sets handle serifs, alternate OQ8, X variants and a modified D, while 58 discretionary ligatures support expressive typesetting. The 22.5-degree slant and wide width range make it well suited to poster work, motion graphics and identity projects that need a retro-futurist register.
Classification
Dysto is a display-oriented geometric sans with monospaced architecture, modular construction and reverse contrast strokes drawn from 1980s sci-fi visual culture. Its highly stylised letterforms and variable axes push it firmly into display territory.
