The world's biggest index of the world's best typefaces

sans-serifgeometric sansitalic
Genevoix specimen from The Designers Foundry

A geometric sans in twelve styles with Bauhaus references, split across Text and Display subfamilies, with stencil and extended cuts throughout the display range.

About

Designed by Roman Seban and built on simple geometric forms, Genevoix draws on Bauhaus aesthetics while introducing alternate letterforms to introduce rhythm and warmth. The Text subfamily covers Light, Regular, Italic and Bold for body use, while the Display subfamily extends into Regular, Bold, Extended Regular and Extended Bold, each also available as a stencil cut. Variable Font support runs across three axes in the display styles. The broad Latin coverage spans over eighty languages.

Classification

Built on simple geometric forms with explicit reference to Bauhaus aesthetics, placing it squarely in the geometric sans tradition. The stencil and extended display variants add a mechanical, constructed quality consistent with that lineage.
