A revival of Gerhard Schwekendiek's Gesh Ortega Roman 275, reworked by Ethan Nakache across six weights with matching italics and variable font files.

About

Designed by Ethan Nakache over four years, it preserves the rhythm and character of the original Gesh Ortega Roman while refining the italics and adding contemporary versatility for modern typesetting. A defining structural detail is the interconnected serifs at stem joins, which form a consistent elliptical curve across characters. Available in 12 static styles plus two variable fonts covering the full weight range, with OpenType features including oldstyle numerals, tabular figures and alternate letterforms.
