Rasmus
The Designers Foundry · Markus John · 2014

A four-style contemporary serif by Markus John, drawing loosely from Times and Sabon while adding oblique serifs and a notably larger x-height in the Bold cut.
About
Designed in 2014 by German designer Markus John, the family runs to Regular, Bold and their matching italics, with 381 glyphs per style and broad Latin language support covering over 70 languages. The Bold weight carries a larger x-height than the Regular, giving it a distinct visual weight beyond conventional bold compensation. Oblique serifs lend the face an angular quality that separates it from its classical references. In use across editorial, branding and culture-adjacent projects.
Classification
Loosely derived from classic oldstyle serifs such as Times and Sabon, but with experimental details including oblique serifs and a larger x-height in the Bold weight, placing it in a contemporary serif category rather than a strict historical revival.
