Rialto Script
The Designers Foundry · Zuzanna Rogatty

A monolinear display script by Zuzanna Rogatty, drawn from Polish communist-era neon signs and built with extensive alternates and swashes for varied typesetting.
About
Designed by Warsaw-based Zuzanna Rogatty, the typeface takes its cues from the idiosyncratic neon signage of communist-era Poland. Glyphs sit slightly above the baseline on a slanted axis, and the family offers contextual alternates, standard and discretionary ligatures, initials, and capital and lowercase swashes including beginning, ending and dash variants. A set of block letters is accessible via the small caps feature, making it suited to titles, logos and sign-style work.
Classification
A monolinear swashed display script with a slanted axis, drawn from dynamic handwriting and inspired by Polish neon signage. Sits firmly in the display script category due to its heavy use of alternates, swashes and contextual substitution.
