sans-serifgrotesquecondensed
Zoom Pro specimen from The Designers Foundry

A display grotesque by Florian Paizs spanning six widths and six weights, with calligraphic details that come alive at large sizes.

About

Originally released as Zoom Grotesque between 2016 and 2019, this 36-style family runs from Narrow Hairline through to Brutal Bold, giving designers considerable range across width and weight. Subtle calligraphic characteristics distinguish it from more neutral grotesques, and an extensive OpenType feature set includes multiple alternate glyphs for letters such as R, Q, t and l. With 1,209 glyphs per weight and broad Latin Plus language support, it covers well over a hundred languages from Afrikaans to Zulu.

Classification

Described as a 'brutal yet friendly display sans serif', Zoom Pro sits within the grotesque tradition but with deliberate calligraphic underpinnings and an expressive, display-oriented character.
