Designed by David Quay and released in 1995, it began as a wholesale redrawing of ITC Quay Sans, removing the original's flared terminals to expose a leaner skeletal structure with sharp cut-in junctions at connecting strokes. The result is a near-monoweight face with enough internal rhythm to sustain long runs of body text without monotony. Five styles run from Book to Bold with a single Book Italic, making it a compact but functional choice for print editorial work.
