Boulder Mono operates on a deliberate inversion of traditional sans-serif conventions: letters typically drawn with rounded forms appear as squares, while those usually angled become circular. At large sizes this contrast reads as fluid and visually arresting; at text sizes the fixed-width rhythm settles into something more familiar. The family runs across five weights from Thin to Bold, each with a matching italic, and includes OpenType features such as a schoolbook alternate 'a', case-sensitive punctuation, and proper fractions.
