Derived from the proportional Syke typeface, Syke Mono adapts its forms into fixed-width spacing with careful attention to characters that affect alignment and readability, including alternative versions of lowercase a, i, l and r. Each of the ten styles covers over 590 characters, with five variations of numerals, manually edited kerning and OpenType features. Initially released in 2016 and updated in 2021, it suits coding environments, database applications and ebook platforms.
