A single-weight display typeface drawn from early 20th-century film poster lettering, with upright forms and smooth curves suited to bold print applications.

About

Inspired by film posters of the early 1900s, Tondu pairs strong upright letterforms with smooth curved details to produce a heavyweight display face that works at scale. Version 2.0, released in 2021, brought the technical standards up to date with over 490 characters including lining figures, fractions and coverage for Western, Southern and Central European languages. Well suited to apparel, poster and billboard work where a period-inflected boldness is needed.
