About
Patyk takes its name and character from the basic stick used by Polish sign-painters and poster-makers before and after World War II, a tool sharpened without a defined angle and producing flat, unmodulated strokes. Designer Marian Misiak has systematised that vernacular energy into a usable typeface, including alternates such as the crossed 'Y' found in Polish lettering of the pre-digital era. Available as a variable font when purchasing the full family.
