One of three subfamilies in the Bull-5 system, the Typewriter cut foregrounds the fixed-pitch eccentricities of 1960s Olivetti-era office typography, drawn from labels on photographic prints recovered from an American newspaper archive.

Digitised from printed type samples found on photo-print labels acquired at a newspaper archive closure, the Typewriter styles carry the irregular proportions and mechanical quirks of their source material intact. Six weights run from Regular to Black, sharing bold punctuation and optional features including double-width M and W and serifed I, i, J and j with the Mono and Proportional subfamilies. The result is a typewriter revival with archival specificity rather than generic nostalgia.
Classification
Derived from 1960s Olivetti typewriter typefaces, the Typewriter subfamily embraces the fixed-pitch, mechanical character of classic typewriter fonts, making mono the appropriate category.
