Glucosa specimen from Tipografies

A two-family sans with organic detailing by Jordi Embodas and Gerard Sierra, offered in standard and high-contrast Display variants across six weights with italics.

About

Designed by Jordi Embodas and Gerard Sierra and released in 2024, Glucosa pairs firm, decisive stroke structure with subtle organic finishing — rounded corners, squared dots and softened terminals that give the text version a quietly distinctive warmth. Glucosa Display pushes the contrast considerably further, setting fully rounded forms against sharp-edged counterparts to produce a more vibrant, expressive appearance. The family ships in six weights from Thin to Black with matching italics across both subfamilies, covering an extensive range of European Latin languages and including variable font files.

Classification

Glucosa sits within the humanist sans tradition but with organic detailing — slightly rounded corners, squared dots and honey-like terminal softness — that give it a distinctive hybrid character between geometric and humanist models.
