Designed by John Hudson for the Dumbarton Oaks Research Library, Athena Ruby encodes an extensive set of letterform variants derived from a systematic cataloguing of Byzantine seal and coin inscriptions led by scholar Joel Kalvesmaki. The result is a specialised all-capitals Greek face with 755 glyphs covering a wide range of historically attested letterform alternates. It is freely available to download and suited to academic, epigraphic and historical publication work.
