Cambria
Tiro Typeworks · Jelle Bosma, Ross Mills, John Hudson, Steve Matteson, Robin Nicholas, Ruben Tarumian, David Březina

A transitional text serif originally commissioned by Microsoft, covering Latin, Cyrillic, Greek and Armenian alongside a dedicated mathematical variant.
About
Designed principally by Jelle Bosma with contributions from a broad team including John Hudson for language extensions, Steve Matteson and Robin Nicholas for Cyrillic and Greek, and Ruben Tarumian for Armenian script. The family comprises four RIBBI styles plus a separate Cambria Math font developed by Ross Mills, making it one of the few text serifs with dedicated mathematical typesetting support. Widely deployed through Microsoft products, it has become a reliable workhorse for documents requiring multilingual or scientific composition.
Classification
Cambria is a text serif designed for on-screen legibility with features characteristic of transitional serifs: moderate contrast, sturdy strokes, and clear letterforms suited to continuous reading at small sizes.
